Vaccine Services

Immunisation Schedule
A vaccine is a biological preparation that strengthens immunity system for a specific disease. It contains substances which is often made from weakened or killed forms of the microbe, its toxins or one of its surface proteins. This substances stimulates the body’s immune system to recognize, destroy and “remembers” it, so that the immune system can easily and earlier initiate the recognition and destroying of these microorganisms that it later encounters in the human body. Vaccines should be administered in human body at different age so that it works the best without complication and its side effect.
There are compulsory and non compulsory vaccines. Some vaccine are for children and some are for specific groups such senior citizens, travelers and risk group. All vaccines can be obtained here in Klinik Mediviron OUG Parklane.

What Happens If My Child Misses A Shot?

If your child did not get her shots on time, it is not too late.

If your child has gotten some of her shots and then fallen behind schedule, she can catch up without having to start the whole schedule again. Please discuss with doctor about this matter. This differs from case to case basis.

Combination Vaccines

Combination vaccines such as measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) are a few vaccines given together in a single shot. Both doctors and parents like them because it enables a person to receive several vaccines in one go.

The recommended national immunisation schedule is as follows for healthy newborns starting immunisation in Malaysia. For overseas-born children, please refer to individual vaccine details for minimum intervals for catch-up doses or unusual schedules.
